German unemployment rate remains unchanged in July - Germany's unemployment rate remained unchanged at 5.5 percent in July adjusted, Destatis reported Thursday.
Compared with June, the number of unemployed increased by 224,000 persons or 10 per cent, which was mainly due to the season. Adjusted for seasonal and irregular effects, the number of unemployed fell by 9,900 from the previous month to 2.30 million in July.
After working labor force survey, unemployment dropped to 5.5 percent in July compared to last year. It went by 137,000 to 2.41 million.
At the same time, the number of employed persons rose by 1.1 percent year on year in July.
